WHAT IS THE TOWNSHIP BOARD?

The Franklin Township Board of Trustees is a five member board elected by the residents of Franklin Township.  They serve the township for four year terms, there being no limit to the number of terms a member can serve.  The Board of Trustees is the executive board of the township and, among other general duties, is responsible for passing and amending township ordinances, creating and managing a township budget, hiring and managing township staff, appointing Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals members, and ensuring the general welfare of the township.

WHEN ARE TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETINGS?

The Franklin Township Board meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 P.M. in the Township Hall.  Special meetings may be called for and will be posted at the Township Hall as required by law.  A list or the meeting dates and minutes are available online here:  Board Meeting Dates.
